Out of hibernation trail!
3rd - 16th April
Rushden Lakes is bursting with wildlife and many creatures are coming out of hibernation, you can spot them popping up all around as we notice the Signs of Spring. Learn more and take part in our Out of Hibernation Trail! You can either complete at your leisure or join Badger, Frog and Squirrel on selected dates for a fun filled experience for your little ones.
HOW TO JOIN IN
- Pick up a trail sheet from Customer Services or download here and complete on your device
- Find all the animals dotted around Rushden Lakes and note the letter they are holding
- Unscramble the letters into a Spring themed word
- Collect your Signs of Spring sticker and Wildflower seeds by showing a member of staff your completed sheet at Customer Services

ENTER OUR COMPETITION!
When you have completed the trail, grown-ups even have the chance of winning a spring bundle prize from participating retailers, there’s three up for grabs with prizes including a £10 voucher for Butterwick, craft kits from Hobbycraft and spring time treats from M&S! All you need to do to enter is submit your email address at Reception and the winner will be contacted by 24th April.
DATES & VISITOR INFORMATION
- The self guided trail is running from 3rd – 16th April, 10am-5pm
- Join our Wildlife characters Badger, Frog and Squirrel on the 5th, 11th & 13th April for an interactive journey along the trail with games and storytelling! Meet them at Customer Services to start the trail at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm
- Free to take part and no booking required, just turn up
- Aimed at children aged 3-10 but everyone welcome
