Our day with Irthlingborough Junior School

Back in February our Centre Manager Donna and Centre Administrator Jamie visited some of the staff and children of Irthlingborough Junior school to support them with their COP1 project!

This involved being a part of their assembly and also inviting a group to Rushden Lakes to see how we work towards becoming more sustainable and what some of our current processes and initiatives are. It was a fantastic day and everybody took away some key learnings.

The children said they had a great day with our team and it was a pleasure to be involved! The children all made some lovely artwork explaining what they already do and what they plan to do to help combat climate change and be kinder to the planet. Here are some of their ideas:
