Wednesday 19th February – Our feathered friends

Look up to the skies this February as we celebrate the feather friends who live Rushden Lakes, and those who visits from far flung places. Learn more about the amazing Nene Valley Special Protection Area and why so many birds from all over the world visit here every year for their holidays!

We will do some bird spotting, feather identification, and track the trail some of these intrepid birds fly. Bring keen eyes, and clever ideas as we work out ways to make our spaces safer for all creatures, especially those that fly, including making an all-natural bird feeder to take home!

During the school holidays, Rushden Lakes car park can get very busy. We will do our best to accommodate late comers but please allow plenty of time to find a parking space and arrive for your booked slot.
