Spring/Summer 19 fashion buys by celebrity stylist, Charlene Bent

As a Celebrity Stylist and director of the brand Ms Campbell and London girl moving into the Rushden area I felt at home the moment I discovered Rushden Lakes. Thanks to the high fashion experience in a luxury setting overlooking a beautiful lake, it sets the scene for an idyllic style experience. Designers gave us an array of trends to choose from this Spring/Summer 19, namely the seventies bohemian style, a touch of feathers and fringes as seen at Givenchy and Valentino shows; while a clash of prints were spotted at Dolce & Gabbana, and in Paris Celine and Balmain took us on a journey back to the 80’s with strong shoulders and acid wash denim. Amongst the trend options this season I narrowed down my top five looks for the ultimate shop at Rushden Lakes - here are my must have buys from my recent visit. Beige and Nudes Head to toe in this colour trend is the way to go. As regularly seen on the likes of Kim Kardashian and Rihanna, it is one trend that the stars are nodding to. Pair your nude buys with metallics and whites for a less is more approach and expect to blend in for all the right reasons.     Sara hip belt, Hobbs London £45 Stone paper-bag utility shorts, New Look £19.99 Beige square glam sunglasses, River Island £14 California Dreaming Zesty tie dye is a must. Keep it sleek and chic by injecting hints of this look in your everyday wardrobe such as these earrings from Accessorize for a truly beachy vibe. Yellow tassel shoulder bag, New Look £19.99 Tie Dye dress, Primark £8 Palm leaf earrings, Accessorize £7 Lace Lace is an old summer favourite but, this season it pops up where you least expect it. Lace hems, lace shirt collars and accessories see this delicate style making a statement. Jaki long lace kimono, Accessorize £40 Victoria posey top, Hobbs London £129.99 Eliza cut off shorts, Superdry £39.99 Nautical Amongst the seasonal trends there are always the failsafe looks that will see you through. I refer to these as my “investment buys” and the nautical trend is a legendary option that works every time. British heritage brand Jack Wills are a constant favourite and this season they are doing it right with their staple collection. Sport Luxe Superdry are famous for their sport luxe approach and this trench coat is the ideal buy to layer up your summer looks. By the end of my shopping trip it was essential that I stopped off for some much needed beauty therapy to relax my hands after the constant use of my credit card. L’Occitane En Provences wide open space with big floor to ceiling windows showcasing their patented immortal flower offered a hand massage bursting with the aromas of sweet almonds that left my skin feeling incredibly soft. However, I couldn’t stop there. Being the self-confessed foodie that I am my day was not complete until I indulged in a freshly prepared meal from Pizza Express, topped off with a sweet ice cream treat from a trendy retro van that you could only ever see at fashion hotspot - Rushden Lakes.
