Sophie Kate shops AW18 at Rushden Lakes

The other weekend I headed to Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre, having been before I knew it was the perfect place to take Arthur, our new little puppy, as we could walk him around the beautiful nature reserve… or should I say Michael, my other half, can walk him around while I spend all the money!! I was so impressed with how many shops were dog-friendly and let little Arthur in, which made it so much easier to explore and shop! After browsing the shops, they had plenty of new autumn stock which was great as I’m on the hunt for autumn pieces for my wardrobe. You can really see a key trend of animal print and khaki this season. H&M had tons of knits, so I know where I’m heading when the weather starts to turn. Jack Wills was khaki heaven… they had so many back to work/uni pieces. I picked up a super soft sweatshirt from Jack Wills to keep in with the khaki trend. After a good session of shopping we were getting super hungry. After a tricky decision between Wagamama, Wildwood and Pizza Express we decided we were in the mood for pizza. We sat outside with Arthur on the boardwalk overlooking the lake and it was a lovely sunny day. There was a slight breeze in the air and the waiter offered us blankets. We got one for little Arthur and it’s great to know that even as it gets a little colder we can visit there with the pup and have a cosy meal. I love shopping at Rushden Lakes. All the stores are spacious with their high ceilings and it always feels nice, tidy and airy, which is a pleasant change from shopping in the middle of a busy town/city! I’m so excited to see the cinema area when it opens — I could see it being built!
